Secret Pairs Mahjong: The Road To The Championship
There's no army of opponents here, no clock-tower boss waiting at the end. Just tiles, a board, and your own two eyes doing battle against clutter. Each layout in Secret Pairs Mahjong starts as a jumbled mess of classic symbols stacked and staggered across the screen, and your job is simple to explain but not always simple to pull off: find the open, matching pairs and clear them before the board gets the better of you. As you clear stages the arrangements get sneakier, tiles hide behind each other in trickier formations, and what looked like a five-minute puzzle at the start turns into a genuine hunt.
Pro-Level Advice
Scan the edges first, honestly, that's where most people forget to look. Tiles sitting alone on the outer rows are often free to grab immediately, and clearing those early opens up blocked pairs buried underneath the pile. Don't just grab the first match your eyes land on, either — sometimes taking a pair from the center first frees up two or three more moves than grabbing an edge piece would. If the board stalls out and nothing seems to line up, that hint button isn't cheating, it's there because even sharp-eyed players hit dead ends sometimes. Bonus time rewards speed, sure, but rushing into a bad pick can lock you out of a cleaner solution two moves later, so a half-second pause before tapping tends to pay off more than blind speed ever does.
How To Play
- Tap two identical open tiles to remove them from the board.
- Only tiles that aren't blocked on both sides count as open and selectable.
- Clear the whole layout before time runs out to move to the next puzzle.
- Collect bonus time by matching quickly to keep your run alive longer.
- Tap the hint button whenever you're stuck and can't spot a move.
- Watch your score climb with every level as the tile patterns grow more layered.
